22 October Ice Wine 2Ice Wine is a rich, sweet dessert wine that is produced from grapes that are picked within a few hours of the first hard frost. The flavor is very concentrated.
Bottles of Ice Wine are generally half sized, and are not cheap. The wine is served in 3 oz servings instead of the typical six ounces of regular wines. The wine should be chilled before serving.
Smaller glasses should be used to serve the wine. Riedel makes a special Ice Wine glass:
