This was a rough one - I am finally feeling better. I called the doctor, they said I was doing everything right and got me a better cough syrup so I could sleep at night. The ability to sleep seems to have worked wonders.

 

I woke up from a nap this afternoon and flipped through the channels and was able to catch "Caprial and John's Kitchen." I do like that show. I would LOVE to take a class at their school.

 

I have my voice back, but this is realy rough. Weigh in did not go well either.

A winter cold seems to be chasing the family. I have lost my voice.

Days seem to be flying by lately. It seems that I am just getting Carl up then the day is gone and it is time for bed.

 

Yesterday we went to the zoo with Carmen, then she came by and we made jellies. It was fun. We made Grape Jelly and a pepper jelly from our Caribbean peppers (a very hot pepper similiar to Habanero) and bell pepper. That was a spicey process. Our hand burned even though we had gloves on. The vapors made us cough, Carmen's face turned pink and I got a rash under my nose. It all stopped the minute we got the pectin and sugar in the mixture.

 

It took a while for the jellies to set. This morning the pepper jelly had finally set. I stuck the grape in the fridge to see if that will help. If not - oh boy I get to reprocess.
